Built in 1931 in the Bauhaus style, the clearly structured façade of the Rigihof, is an architectural landmark of the modern age in Zurich. Newly renovated rooms are equipped with bath or shower, hair dryer, cable television, radio, direct dialling telephone, minibar, safe and soundproofed windows. Also, something that is specific to this hotel, each of the 66 hotel rooms is dedicated to a different personality who has lived in Zurich and has made an impact during his/her stay by creating or inventing something valuable or unforgettable.
In the 1920s, the Bauhaus style marked the beginning of Modernist architecture. The characteristic features of this architectural style are clear, evident lines, strong colors and bright rooms. Openness and clarity, important Bauhaus principles, are also reflected in the restaurant design. The Bauhaus principles also underlie our restaurant's philosophy, from the interior design to the composition of the menu, and from the shopping to food preparation and service.
