The building housing the hotel was created in the 1870's when the famous Ringstrasse with its magnificient buildings such as Opera, Burg Theater, Parliament were founded. Around the turn of the century one of the most famous Art Nouveau architects, Otto Wagner, designed the Loos House, Church "am Steinhof", the City Train Pavillons, Majolika House and he was ordered to design a hotel named "Hotel Vienna" at this very central location.
Due to shortage of funds this project was never executed. Finally, in 1984 the hotel, which would have been impossible to be built at the beginning of the 20th century, was constructed in this beautiful Ringstrassen building, "Hotel am Schubertring". In line with history and tradition of the house all rooms were furnished in Art Nouveau as well as "Belle Epoque Style".
They provide a beautiful and pleasant atmosphere combining historical flair and modern comfort. All our rooms are very spacious and some of them have also a fully equipped kitchen. Hotel Am Schubertring is centrally located, just a stone's throw to the Opera house with all underground lines close by. Ideally located in the centre of Vienna, Hotel Am Schubertring provides the ideal place for a romantic week-end as well as for business purposes.
