Nice 06300

Old Town
Tucked away in a corner of the old town,
this original café offers a refreshing blend of live
theatre, concerts and philosophical discussions. Weekends
are particularly lively. It's a good place to get a taste
of the very special Niçois sense of humour.
Lagon (Le)

Town centre
Le Lagon opens its doors wide and has
a very pleasant terrace; its décor is contemporary
in style, simple and pleasant. This is a good place to come
to for a drink, some delicious ice cream or simply a breather
from a round of frenzied shopping in the city-centre. Le Lagon
also organises karaoke nights.

Shopping
Nice is well known for its colourful street
markets. The main Nice flea market, Marche a la Brocante takes
place every Monday from 8am to 5pm. The flower market, cours
Saleya is open from 6am to 5.30pm every day, except Monday
and Sunday afternoons.
For those who are more interested in the individual boutiques,
the Rue Massena, place Magenta and l'avenue Jean-Medecin,
as well as the streets around them are the best places to
spend your hard earned cash.
If you are interested in some of the local specialities, Nicola
Alziari, located at 14, rue St-Francois-de-Paulle is one of
Nice's oldest purveyors of olive oil. Confiserie Florian de
Vieux-Nice is near the Old Port and specialises in glazed
