La
Quincaillerie
Rue du Page 45
BrusselsTel: 02 533 98 38
website: http://www.quincaillerie.be
The highly imaginative and daring decor
is the main characteristic of this brasserie. You don't often
get the opportunity to eat in an authentic ironmonger's shop
dating back to the beginning of this century and designed
by one of Victor Horta's students.
If you're lucky you may come across one
of the many famous regular guests at "la quinc "
such as Gérard Depardieu, Helmut Kohl, Francis Cabrel,
Hervé Mehon, Mc Solar, Plastic Bertrand, Michel Rocard,
Michel Leeb, André Lamy, The Gipsy Kings and many others...
However, the fine kitchen and the excellent
wine list are the real attraction of La Quincaillerie. The
menu has some of the best fish dishes, including the widely
praised "fruits-de-mer", the speciality of the house.
