This beautifully refurbished Art Nouveau town palace sits across the street from Obecní dum (Municipal House), near the Prasná brána (Powder Tower) on the edge of the Old Town. After the Communist era it was restored to private hands and remodelled by its new Austrian owners, who opted for a muted, modern look in the rooms but left the sumptuous Boccaccio ballroom in its faux-rococo glory. Guest bedrooms are large and well equipped with extras such as a trouser press and safe. For business travellers there is the added attraction of a fax machine and 3 telephones in each room although internet access is currently dial-up. Apart from the handicap rooms all bathrooms have a bath also. A full American breakfast is served in the main breakfast room which is also open to the public for lunch and dinner on an a la carte basis. The bright coffee bar is open into the early hours (all night if the guests require!). With no fitness room the Grand Bohemia is limited to a 4 star status but in terms of grandeur and service its definitely up there with other 5 star hotels in the city.
NB. All rooms have en suite facilities
