The Columba Hotel in Oban is right on the seafront, on the North Pier, in the middle of town and close to the ferry terminal, railway and bus station. The hotel has recently been refurbished and restored to its original Victorian glory and a warm welcome is accompanied by rich decor, high ceilings, elegant cornices, good food and services.
Due to the Columba Hotel's unique situation and style of construction nearly all the 50 bedrooms enjoy wonderful open views of the town, the harbour, Oban Bay, McCaigs Tower and the islands with glorious sunsets. The hotel was built in 1865 and 1901 of Scottish granite and sandstone. Most of the rooms have seaviews; those remaining have views of the wooded hillside. All rooms are bright and airy; this is enhanced by the decor. All of the Columba Hotels bedrooms are en suite, with TV, hairdryer, courtesy trays and everything else you need for an enjoyable stay.
Due to anti-smoking laws this hotel operates a strict no smoking policy.
