The modernistic Ameritania is located less than a half-block from Broadway and features a lobby of stainless steel and glass, plus much more original contemporary decor. There are scores of restaurants and Broadway just steps away, so it's the perfect place to stay while watching a show. Although the rooms are not particularly spacious, they are all clean and well stocked. There is a nice bar downstairs with a fire during winter so there's a cosy atmosphere to the hotel. Many more of New York's attractions are only a short walk or taxi ride away. The staff here are friendly and have a good local knowledge of the area. A good but fairly basic hotel for seeing the sights from.
