Situated on the "Golden Hill", a residencial area above the city and lake Lugano this is a delightful turn-of-the-century Villa, which was formerly a prince's residence! The main part of the hotel overlooks the lake and has some great views and the other over the road, and has a pleasant swimming pool. Beware that the location on the hill means that getting down into the city involves a tricky walk on the side of the road if you don't have a car. The restaurant serves a variety of nice meals although some are expensive for what they are. The staff are friendly and efficient. The hotel is 3 Km from the centre, the lake and the train station.
