This hotel is situated by the lake shore and is a 10 minute walk from the town centre.
This is one of the best hotels in Switzerland 1108 SR.
The building, which is traditional, is in immaculate condition.
The lobby is small, but leads into a large, comfortable lounge which is decorated in traditional style slightly at odds with the modern designer furniture.
The rooms vary from medium to very large, and have all undergone extensive refurbishment. They all have high ceilings and are in very good/exceptional condition. Each room has its own individual decor combining traditional style with modern quality. many of these lake view rooms also have balconies, the better to enjoy the breathtaking panorama spread out beyond the waters of the Vierwaldstaettersee. The bathrooms are medium to large. The old, ornate bathrooms are still in good condition whereas those bathrooms in the new rooms are exceptional.
There are two restaurants. One caters mainly for hotel guests and the other is more exclusive serving only A la carte cuisine. The bar is very cosy with leather armchairs and is located within the public area.
