The Grandhotel Pupp de Luxe Karlovy Vary is centrally located in the West Bohemian spa town of Karlovy Vary (also known as Carlsbad), surrounded by 60 hot wells. A typical 'chocolate box' town, renowned for its lace, cut crystal glass and porcelain, it is just about 1 hour 30 minutes drive to Prague and an hour from the German border. Karlovy Vary Airport is around 10 minutes by car while Prague International Airport is approximately 125 kilometres away.
This grand hotel was built in 1701, making it one of Europe’s oldest hotels. Its 111 guest rooms (some with air conditioning) were renovated in the mid-990s and they now offer mini bars, satellite television and pay movies in a classic setting of plush fabrics and antique-style furnishings.
Befitting the hotel’s therapeutic surroundings, guests will find a full-service spa that offers massages, beauty treatments and dental care, along with a sauna, steam room and large Roman-style bath. A casino with mirrored walls and a glass ceiling offers a lively venue for card games, roulette and slot machines, while five restaurants and bars provide a wide variety of dining options. Guests also have access to a fitness centre and tennis courts, plus privileges at an affiliated 18-hole golf course seven kilometres from the hotel.
