Ideally located, very close to the canals, in the historic heart of Ghent, Hotel de FLANDRE provides direct access by tram to the international convention center and to the train terminal. The elegant rooms offer the highest level of comfort in the setting of a 19th century guesthouse.
The old coach house takes you to the reception area from which an oak stairway leads to the executive floor with one grand suite, one junior suite and luxury rooms. This grand suite was the home of Johann Strauss (father) during his performances at the Opera in 1838. It has been handsomely fitted with stylish furniture and fabrics.

At the other side of the building another magnificent stairway - a listed historical Napoleon staircase - leads to the other floors. On the fourth floor the old servants quarters have been transformed into cosy loft-rooms which are divided into two levels to give a sense of space.

Each of the 46 rooms are provided with all modern facilities: individually controllable heating, cable TV with remote control, direct dial telephone, wireless internet connection, safe-deposit box, mini-bar and fully equipped bathroom.

A buffet breakfast is served every morning between 7 and 10 AM, in summer also on the outside patio and if required is served in the privacy of one's room. The daylight flows between the tastefully laid tables and old cellings. It is here that the start of a unique and relaxing day is guaranteed.

Additional information: Children age 6 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Children age 7-15 or pay EUR 15.

Hotel de Flandre is located within walking distance of the medieval harbor, the Castle of the Counts and the Sint-Michiels bridge from where you can admire the three imposing towers of Ghent.
