This family friendly city hotel with its 36 rooms is located right within the surrounding area of the Kurfürstendamm with its many museums, theatres and galleries, the International Trade Centre Berlin, various places of interest plus the central stations and airports. There are cafés and restaurants as well as many opportunities to go on a shopping spree nearby. The building has its origin in 1900 when it was used as a residential building for the upper middle class. After the war the front of the building was also rented to businesses such as to "Pension Otto" which was called "Pension Royal" later on.After a change of property owner in 1985 and a generous modernization of the building this pension has ever since been called Hotel-Pension-Kurfürst like the closely located Kurfürstendamm. The Kurfürstendamm leads from the Gedächtniskirche as far as Halensee. It is one of to the most famous boulevards in the world and is located in the district of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. Here one can also find the Charlottenburger Schloß, the Ägyptische Museum, the Theater des Westens, various boulevard venues, galleries, elegant boutiques and designer-shops and not to be forgotten Europe’s largest department store, KaDeWe, with its superb deli-department. In the side-streets of the Ku'damm and round Savignyplatz, a popular scene area, there is a big choice of restaurants, bars and cafés. All our 36 spaciously in Old-Berlin-Style designed double rooms are equipped with shower/ toilet, radio, TV, minibar, hairdryer and safe. The Bleibtreustrasse is the connection between Kurfürstendamm and Lietzenburger Straße. Our hotel rooms face towards Bleibtreustrasse or to a green back yard. It is possible to wake up in the morning with bird songs in the downtown of Berlin. We always arrange that with our personal birds... Our building also has an inner courtyard which is beautifully covered with greenery in the summer. Here, at times, you can forget the stress of the city...**Please note there is full penalty for cancellations during World Cup games in Germany June 9, 2006 - July 5, 2006**
